GO-MOVE-DANCE!!! is an elementary school residency program offering students 25 weeks of free, in-school dance instruction sponsored by Nevada Ballet. Students are taught a variety of disciplines, with a focus on ballet, jazz and hip-hop and classes are taught by qualified Future Dance Teaching Artists. As part of the program each year, students have the opportunity to see live ballet performances at the Smith center for Performing Arts. Then in a culminating activity, the students of GO-MOVE-DANCE!!! showcase their accomplishments with a performance at the Smith Center for Performing Arts. Gilbert is lucky to have students chosen each year as Future Dance Scholars, where they will have the opportunity to continue their dance studies free of charge from Nevada Ballet Theater.
